The Regional Planning Guidance for the North West (RPG13) issued by the Deputy Prime Minister on 31 March 2003.
The North West Regional Assembly prepared draft revised Regional Planning Guidance " People Places and Prosperity" in 2000. This was subject to a public examination February- March 2001. The Panel report was published on 1 August 2001.
The Secretary of State`s Proposed Changes, together with a Statement of the Reasons for the Proposed Changes, were published for public consultation on 20 May 2002. The consultation period ended on 16 August 2002. The Secretary of State considered all the comments made during the consultation, before preparing and publishing the final RPG.
